Experiential Program

Grow into
psychedelic care

Over six months and an immersive in-person retreat, you’ll explore the art of holding space through a lens that is somatic, creative, trauma-informed, and socially aware. Our approach recognizes that healing doesn’t happen in isolation – it is relational, shaped by culture, history, and systemic realities.

Through movement, embodiment, voice, breath, and deep connection with nature, you’ll gain hands-on experience in psychedelic processes and supervised spaceholding. Live online workshops, mentored peer groups, and additional resources deepen your learning, grounding it in reciprocity, ethical integrity, and compassionate care for both individuals and the collective.

By the end of the program, you’ll have a strong foundation in integrative approaches to psychedelic care, understanding the full arc from screening to integration, and cultivating essential tools and skills required to hold space.

Holistic facilitation journey

Rooted in psychotherapy, science, and traditional healing wisdom, this program emphasizes preparation, integration, embodiment, and creativity. Guided by experienced facilitators, you’ll practice spaceholding in a supervised setting – deepening your capacity to attune, connect, and hold space with authenticity.

Through this heart-centered, experiential approach, you’ll explore facilitation as a relational practice. You’ll learn to listen deeply – not only to individuals, but to the shared dynamics of the group – developing the sensitivity to track what is present, and respond with care. This includes attuning to the collective nervous system and recognizing and learning how to navigate with what is alive in the space.

By embodying this work, you’ll begin to understand what is truly required to support others through both challenging and rewarding experiences, with a grounded presence and recognition of our shared humanity.

I was able to experience deep grief and sadness in a safe and supported environment which has helped me process the passing of my wonderful Dad. "I have been to a few psychedelic ceremonies, but never with such intense care, and such truly dedicated facilitators, and an understanding that healing happens in community, that sharing and integration is fundamental, and that play and dance and joy are part of it as well."

"There's a real gender binary, often in medicine circles. I feel like neither and both. It felt here like there's a fluidity with it all and a place for whatever kind of expression I bring.I haven't experienced that before in any other medicine circles. I felt seen, taken care of and I´m very grateful for this inclusive and safe environment."

ADMISSIONS

The Kiyumi Facilitator Training stands apart through its multidisciplinary approach, blending somatic wisdom, creative and contemplative practices, and a deep commitment to authentic and heart-centered connection. Unlike programs that focus solely on theory, Kiyumi emphasizes the importance of personal experience, offering trainees an immersive journey that integrates knowledge with lived understanding. This long-term program supports growth over time, weaving diverse modalities into a cohesive framework that honors the body, mind, and spirit as essential components of facilitation.

This training is open to anyone who successfully passes the application process. While being a licensed therapist is not required, prior knowledge or experience in facilitation, somatics, or working with people is preferred. Applicants with no prior experience in these areas or with psychedelics may not be accepted, as the program builds on foundational skills. The training is designed for those ready to deepen their understanding and practice of spaceholding in a professional and embodied way.

Personal experience with psychedelics is not required to join the training, though it can be useful. The program includes an immersive retreat that offers participants the opportunity to engage with altered states in a safe and supported environment, allowing for personal exploration and a deeper understanding of the work.

We strive to accommodate participants’ needs to the best of our abilities, but accessibility may be limited by the venues we work with. If you have specific requirements, please let us know during the application process, and we will do our best to create an inclusive experience.

If you have questions or need more clarity, you can book a discovery call with one of our facilitators and the program coordinator. This is a great opportunity to explore whether the training is the right fit for you. You can schedule a call via this link, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Yes, participants must be at least 21 years old to join the training.

This structure balances theoretical learning, personal exploration, and hands-on practice, offering a comprehensive path toward becoming a skilled facilitator.

This includes psychotherapists, psychiatrists, psychedelic integration specialists, somatic therapists, and other experienced professionals, ensuring a rich and multidisciplinary learning experience.

The weekly time commitment ranges between 1–4 hours, depending on the scheduled activities. With recorded sessions and self-study materials, you can work at your own pace. A holiday break in December is included to allow for rest and reflection.

The program consists of four groups, each with up to 20 participants, making a total of up to 80 people. This structure ensures an intimate learning experience while allowing for hands-on practice in sitting and guiding during the retreat.

Throughout the training, you will be part of a peer group consisting of 15–20 participants. This group will serve as your primary learning community, accompanying you through the program and the immersive retreat. Peer groups provide a supportive environment for in-depth exploration of various topics, exchange of experiences, and close guidance from a dedicated peer group mentor. This dynamic setting fosters personal growth and equips you to work with diverse individuals and communities in the future.

Participants are required to attend at least 80% of the peer group sessions, participate fully in the in-person retreat, and complete a final project to successfully complete the program.

OUTCOMES & CERTIFICATION

Yes, certificates of completion for the Kiyumi Facilitator Training are awarded once all program requirements are fulfilled, including a final assessment demonstrating readiness and professional integrity. We are also in the process of applying for further education credits and will provide updates as soon as they become available.

As psychedelics remain illegal in many parts of the world, the training does not explicitly focus on starting a psychedelic business. However, aspects of the topic are occasionally addressed within the curriculum to provide context and awareness.

While the training primarily focuses on psilocybin, the principles and practices taught are highly versatile and can be applied to working with other psychedelics. The curriculum includes foundational skills in spaceholding and integration that are relevant across different substances, and occasional discussions touch on other psychedelics. Participants often find that the knowledge and experience gained in the program enrich their ability to facilitate in diverse contexts.

The Kiyumi Facilitator Training emphasizes somatic and contemplative skills while offering an experiential learning journey. The program integrates personal exploration with the opportunity to practice spaceholding in a supervised, supportive container.

Through this program, you will:

  • Develop skills to hold space with presence, authenticity, and compassion.
  • Cultivate a somatic and mindfulness-based practice to sustain your work and personal growth.
  • Gain hands-on experience in creating trauma-informed and inclusive spaces for others’ transformation.
  • Explore ethical considerations, including reciprocity, cultural sensitivity, and restorative justice.
  • Build a supportive network of peers and mentors to deepen your journey.

This training blends personal experience and professional practice, preparing you to embody the skills needed for safe and impactful facilitation.

The professional opportunities for psychedelic facilitators are expanding as regulatory frameworks evolve and demand for skilled practitioners continues to grow.

Graduates of the Kiyumi Facilitator Training will gain a comprehensive foundation in relational, theoretical, and somatic skills, including how to create and hold safe, supportive containers for transformative experiences. These qualifications may open pathways to roles in a variety of positions within psychedelic organizations or other supervised opportunities in the field. This training alone does not qualify trainees to work with psychedelics and hold space.

For those already working with clients, the program’s experiential and introspective approach offers a chance to deepen self-awareness and develop an embodied, intuitive facilitation style. Graduates are prepared to bring an authentic, multi-faceted, and ethically grounded practice to their work, fostering safe and transformative spaces for others.

The Kiyumi Facilitator Training equips participants with foundational skills, self-awareness, and ethical principles essential for psychedelic facilitation. While some graduates may feel ready to begin guiding sessions or offering preparation and integration support, many benefit from additional practice, mentorship, or apprenticeship to refine their skills. One’s readiness to work in this field also depends on the legal context, prior experience, extent of experience, and licensing of each person.

The program helps you identify your unique role in the field and assess your readiness to serve. By graduation, you’ll have a solid understanding of the work and the confidence to take your next steps with clarity and integrity.
